Looks like, despite the new asphalt, we are loosing a LOT of room on PCH to safely ride our bikes. Installing the new permanent medians, coupled with the 'room' they give between the lane and the median itself (it looks like 12" in some spots) the 'door zone' is almost zero in many places and I cant forsee them putting any indication motorists need to 'share the road'. I plan to go on record, and if ANYTHING ever happens to me I'm instructing my estate to sue the city, the county and the state....starting with the firm hired to 'design' the work right down to the company hired to stripe the road and everyone inbetween....
